Job Title: Community and Individual Giving Fundraiser

The successful candidate will be expected to generate income by engaging the local community through a varied programme of relationship focussed activities, events, and IG campaigns.
Community and Individual Giving Fundraiser
We are looking for an experienced fundraising professional who has previously worked in a community and/or events and IG fundraiser role . The successful candidate will have experience in delivering great supporter experiences as well as using supporter journeys to build long lasting and productive relationships. You will have previous experience of managing and delivering a fundraising income and expenditure budget as well as setting and working to budgets, targets and plans.
Main purpose of post
- To develop and maintain community and IG fundraising through a number of income streams delivering vital income that contributes to Changes UK ‘s overall fundraising strategy
- To identify opportunities to raise funds and maximise income growth through supporter led fundraising, community support and challenge events.
- To develop and grow fundraising relationships with individuals, community groups, committees, companies, and supporters in order to raise the profile of Changes UK and make recovery visible within our communities.
- Work with the Fundraising and Partnership Manager deliver across a wide variety of community, IG and corporate fundraising (including events, donations, virtual, regular giving and appeals).
Main Responsibilities and Duties
Fundraising;
- Partner with the Fundraising & Partnership Manager on the development and implementation of a 3 year fundraising plan
- To generate sustainable income streams and raise the profile of Changes UK by organising and marketing participation events and challenges along with providing appropriate support to event participants
- To engage with supporters, private funders, high profile and high net worth individuals and event participants, developing long term fundraising relationships by providing gold standard stewardship in order to maximise income opportunities.
- Research and target appropriate funding opportunities and maintain a funding database
- Build strong relationships with those volunteers raising funds for Changes UK in the community, identifying ways to build and maintain their loyalty
- Follow up leads and keep track of donations acquired
- Produce high quality reports as required e.g. for funders, board members, commissioners, etc.
- Create a culture of fundraising at Changes UK and encourage staff, volunteers and service users to help raise funds
- Partner with Fundraising and Partnership Manager to establish an events calendar, including new and traditional fundraising activitie
Marketing & Communications;
- Support the Fundraising & Partnership Manager Operations Director with the production of the Changes UK Annual Report including copywriting, contributing fundraising data and content, and distribute to supporters and stakeholders,
- Ensure that the website, fundraising and marketing material is up to date and complimentary
- Collate case studies, photographs and information from project activities
Person Specification
Essential:
- A proven track record as a community and individual giving fundraiser delivering income growth
- Proven ability to engage, inspire and enthuse a range of supporters to raise funds and nurture relationships
- Experience of managing positive relationships with businesses and private individuals
- Experience of developing and implementing innovative and creative fundraising ideas
- Experience of data collection and analysis to produce evidence report and write successful bids
- Budget management experience
- Confident at delivering presentations or talks to community audiences, (groups and associations, schools etc)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to influence others
- Excellent networking and relationship building skills, including the ability to motivate supporters and build effective partnerships
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to work using own initiative and as part of a team
- Excellent computer and administration skills, including sound knowledge of Microsoft Office365 applications
- An ability to multi-task and prioritise workload under pressure
- Experience at producing charity fundraising materials
- Team player
- A strong and demonstrable commitment to the aims and values of Changes UK
Desirable:
Experience of recovery with the ability and motivation to harness this experience positively in working with service users
An understanding of recovery, the criminal justice system and associated services
